Mary Patricia Meilunas

Mary Patricia Meilunas, born on January 18, 1934, in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, in Hampton Bays, New York. She was a beloved matriarch whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Mary was the cherished daughter of John Grant and Margaret Stanton and sister to Jacqueline Conway, Elinore Lebohner and Dick (John) Grant.Mary was a devoted wife to the late Raymond Meilunas and mother to her children, Elaine (Peter) Oliver, Colleen (Bruce) Grahm, Raymond Meilunas, Mark (Diana) Meilunas and the late Patricia Harroun. Mary was a devoted grandmother to: Courtney, Nicholas, Blaise, Eric, Justin and the late Michael. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Max, Bella, Luna, and Colson, who brought her much joy in her later years.

Throughout her life, Mary was known for her unfaltering strength and compassion. Her nurturing spirit and love for her family will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation services for Mary will be held on May 5, 2025, at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY. The first visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and again later that same evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated in her honor on May 6, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist located at 546 Saint Johns Place, Riverhead, NY, starting at 11:00 AM.
