MaryAnn Klass

MaryAnn Klass, a beloved nurse known for her kindness and caring spirit, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 12, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, MaryAnn dedicated her life to helping others, especially during her time as a nurse at South Oaks Psychiatric Hospital, where she touched the lives of many.

Throughout her life, MaryAnn cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her three sons, Karl Klass Jr. and his wife Kelly, Joseph Klass and his wife Joy, and Steven Klass and his wife Susan, who remember her not only as their mother but as a guiding light in their lives. She also leaves behind eight wonderful grandchildren, who provided her with great joy and happiness.

MaryAnn had a caring personality that endeared her to those around her. She was particularly devoted to her late husband, Karl Klass Sr., whose memory she cherished. Together they built a loving family characterized by warmth and support.

Visitation for MaryAnn will be held on January 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. A prayer service will follow at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Her legacy of compassion and love will endure in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed.
