Michael J. Barca

Michael J. Barca passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on January 18, 1960 to his parents Angelo and Eileen in Brooklyn, New York. Michael was a business owner whose life was marked by energy, warmth, and deep devotion to the people and pastimes he loved most.

He was a music lover who loved to sing, and he brought that same spirited presence into everyday life. Funny, chatty, and blessed with a good sense of humor, Michael was someone who truly loved to talk and connect with others. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed going on vacation, making memories with those closest to him. He was also an enthusiastic fan of horse racing, and enjoyed watching the Steelers & Mets.

Above all, Michael will be remembered for the love he shared with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Bartholomew and her husband, Justin; his son, Zach; his mother, Eileen Kunder; his sister, Virginia Barrington and her husband, Jeffery; and his partner Anita Cesarano. He is also survived by his step-children; Lisa and her husband Joseph, Danielle and her husband Matt, and Joseph and his wife Morgan. Michael’s love extended proudly to his grandchildren, Jake, Jaxon, and Leo, and to his step-grandchildren, Christian, Joseph, Keira, Nicolas, Charlotte, and Benjamin. Each of them was part of the family he loved so much and spoke of so often.

He was preceded in death by his father, Angelo, and by his brother, Steven.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home, 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, New York 11729. A prayer service will also be held there on October 2, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Saint Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, East Farmingdale, New York 11735.

Michael J. Barca will be remembered for his humor, his voice, his loyalty to the teams and traditions he cherished, and most of all for the love he gave so freely to his family. His memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
