He left this life surrounded by the warmth and love of his cherished family and friends, an embodiment of the generous spirit that characterized his every interaction.
Born on November 29, 1981, in West Islip, NY, Mike was a beacon of laughter and generosity from an early age. He grew to become not only a loving husband and father but also a prominent figure in his community as the owner of Repel Restoration. His colleagues and clients admired him for his intelligence, often remarking that he was smarter than a doctor. Known as a holistic guru, Mike brought an enlightened perspective to everything he did, filling rooms with a vibrant energy that brightened even the darkest days.
Mike's personality shone through in everything he touched. He was renowned for his kindness and his ability to bring levity to any situation, often leaving everyone in stitches with his hilarious jokes. His robust presence was only matched by his profound commitment to supporting those around him; he was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus, a strong supporter of the Special Olympics, and someone who donated his time to numerous community initiatives. Friends lovingly referred to him as Big Mike, Big Poppa, and Big Dog, titles he wore with pride and affection. Mike loved watching his daughters dance on stage and was so proud of his sons with everything they do.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dominique, and their four adoring children: Michael, Blake, Natalia, and Brielle. He was a loving son to Michael and Marilyn, a caring brother to Nick and Krista (Joe) Nolan, and a doting uncle to Hailey and Tyler. His family will undoubtedly carry on his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity. He will de deeply missed by his numerous friends who he considered family.
One of the treasured memories they will hold dear is of Mike riding his Harley Davidson, a beloved past-time that encapsulated his adventurous spirit and zest for life. He is fondly remembered for his tattoo-covered teddy bear, a quirky testament to his affinity for fun and creativity. Throughout his life, Mike was always checking in on loved ones, ensuring that no one faced life's challenges alone.
The culmination of his life's journey will be honored with visitations at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc. in Deer Park, NY, on January 15, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
