Michaele E. Buckley

Michaele E. Buckley, a beloved figure who touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on July 13, 1947, in Yonkers, NY to her parents Michael and Lucy. Michaele was known for her warm spirit and the deep love she held for her family and friends.

She leaves behind her loving children, Laura Mione, Kathleen and her husband Ken Kalafus, and Steven Buckley. Her heart was filled with pride for her grandchildren: Samantha Paige, Alexandra Francesca, Lorenzo Thomas Mione, Jacob, Benjamin, and Jayden, each holding a special place in her heart. The joy continued with the arrival of her great-grandchild, Mila Colleen, who brought an additional ray of sunshine into her life.

Michaele is reunited in spirit with her late husband, Thomas F. Buckley, whose memory she cherished deeply. Together, they shared a bond that resonated throughout their lives, and their love will forever be etched in the hearts of those who remain.

Friends and family are invited to honor Michaele’s remarkable life at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY, on February 1, 2026. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by an evening visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Mass celebrating her life will be held on February 2, 2026, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, located at 125 Half Hollow Rd, Deer Park, NY, beginning at 11:15 AM.

Michaele’s legacy will continue to live on through the family and friends whose lives she touched, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
