Mildred A. Decelis, born on February 3, 1929, in the Bronx, New York, transitioned to eternal rest on December 23, 2025, in Riverhead, New York. She lived a full and accomplished life, marked by a distinguished career as a television technician for CBS Networks. Mildred's contributions to the television industry not only reflect her remarkable technical skills but also her unwavering dedication to her craft, paving the way for future generations of technicians.
Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor Decelis, her daughter, Kathie Wetterau, and her devoted parents, Edward and Michaeleen Weinreb. Their memories are cherished by her daughter, Michaeleen A. St. John, who lovingly remembers her mother's wisdom, strength, and enduring spirit. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Meredith Vandegrift, Jason Wetterau, Kerri Hagan, as well as her great-grandchildren; Jaden Wetterau, Ryland Vandegrift, Delaney Vandegrift, Caleb Hagan, and Eli Hagan.
A burial service will be held on December 29, 2025, at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York. The service will commence at 9:00 AM, culminating in a final farewell that honors Mildred's remarkable life and the legacy she leaves behind.
Mildred A. Decelis will be remembered not only for her professional achievements, but also for the love and compassion she shared with her family and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
