Patricia Fountain

Patricia Fountain,86 years of age, sadly passed away April 29th with her loving sons by her side. Patricia was born August 4th, 1937, in Brooklyn NY.

Patricia was an only child of Fletcher and Rosetta Fountain. Patricia grew up in Flatbush and went to Erasmus High School. Her father Fletcher Fountain was a baker for Ebinger’s Bakery in Brooklyn, NY. Her mom, Rossetta Fountain was a teachers aid in the NYC Public Schools.

Patricia, known as Pat by her family and friends, grew up playing basketball, learned to play piano, and was an active member of the Salem Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

Throughout her years, Patricia pursued education and achieved an associate degree at Kingsborough Community College and graduated age at the age of 38. With this degree Pat was successful in her carrier as an Information Technology (IT) expert. Her work at multiple financial institutions left a lasting impact on all those she worked with. Even in her final years at the nursing home, she made an impact with the surrounding staff and patients, which they embraced.

Patricia is survived by her two sons Andre and Antione. As a strong-willed single mother, she raised her sons, teaching solid ethics in education and life. Both sons have been able to achieve these values. Andre (American International College) , and Antoine (New York Military Academy). Both sons have resulted in successful careers.

Patricia was active and supportive with both her son’s sporting activities.  Pat attended every sporting event watching her sons play and cheering them on.

The highlight in our lives was watching mom manage the Semi-Pro NYC Hustlers. Those who were on the team and involved in the organization remained in contact with her, leaving long and endearing relationships.

Pat truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She had a strong love of music, enjoying music from classical, soul, to country, and rock and roll. Pat was a dog lover and raised two of her “best friends” Molson and Clay.

As we mourn the loss of this remarkable individual, let us remember Patricia Fountain, for the kindness she spread, her warm and loving personality, and the love she shared with all those around her. May her legacy live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
