Philip A. Lanteri, a deeply loved member of his family, was born on April 6, 1964, in New York, NY to his parents Angelo and Phyllis, and passed away on May 19, 2026. He was a man who carried with him the values of faith, hope, love and laughter throughout his life, touching the hearts of those who knew him.
Philip's journey through life was marked by the connections he nurtured and the respect he garnered from family and friends alike. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Gary Lanteri, and sisters-in-law Joan, Dolores, and Rosemarie. He is now reunited in heaven with his brothers, Arthur and Alan. He will be deeply missed by his many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who will continue to honor his memory with love and affection.
Philip’s deep love and devotion to his parents was evident to everyone who knew him. He wrote this passage in 2018: "My mother was the constant in my life. To borrow from a song, she was the rhythm and the rhyme of my life. She was the reason and the meaning in my life."
He had a lifelong passion for music, especially instrumental and progressive rock, though his appreciation spanned countless genres. His extensive music collection reflected both his curiosity and deep love for the art form. He was also a devoted New York sports fan, faithfully cheering on the Yankees, Knicks, and Giants through the years. Among his fondest memories were the carefree days of his Bronx childhood — playing wiffleball in the schoolyard and football at Grassy Field with friends, stories he loved to reminisce about and share with those around him.
Philip A. Lanteri’s life will remain in the memories of those who knew him, reflecting the love he so readily gave. His legacy endures in the hearts of his family and friends.
