Ralph J. Miele, a respected accounting professional and Korean War veteran, passed away on May 28, 2026, at Kanas Center. Born on June 25, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Miele dedicated his life to his family and his career with unwavering commitment and integrity.
Mr. Miele earned a master's degree in accounting, which laid the foundation for a distinguished professional journey. He was the proprietor of his own accounting firm in Riverhead, New York, where he served clients with diligence and expertise for many years. His work was marked by precision and a deep understanding of his field, qualities that earned him lasting respect among colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ralph J. Miele was known for his loving, kind, and generous nature. Above all, he held his family close to his heart. His devotion to those he loved was a defining characteristic throughout his life.
Mr. Miele is survived by his spouse, Mariapia Doz-Miele; her sons, Wayne Galante & his wife Annette, Dale Galante, His sons Ralph (Kathy) Miele, Jr. and James (Ann) Miele; and his daughter, Maryellen (Gerardo) Torres who carry forward his legacy of warmth and dedication. Ralph was a loving grandfather to Sara, Annette Marie, Dylan, Ann Marie, Gerard, Steven, Thomas and Nicole and Great Grandfather to Madelyn, Alex, Tessa, Lily, Elizabeth and Nataly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Genero and Grace Miele.
A Korean War veteran, Mr. Miele's service is a testament to his character and commitment to his country. His life embodied the values of honor, responsibility, and care.
Visitation will be held at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901. The visitation periods are scheduled on June 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 8:00 PM until 8:30 PM on the same evening. An additional visitation will take place on June 4, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM.
Ralph J. Miele’s life was one of purposeful dedication, marked by professional accomplishment, military service, and deep familial bonds. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a man of principle, warmth, and generosity.
