Ralph Anthony Russo

December 1, 1938 — August 22, 2025

Mooresville, NC

Ralph Anthony Russo, who lived most of his life in Hicksville, NY, and spent the last five years in Mooresville, NC, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born to Cono and Mary Trupiano Russo, Ralph lived a life defined by hard work, devotion, and a deep love for those around him. He proudly served his country in Korea as a Military Policeman with the United States Army before returning home to build a career as a machinist, dedicating more than 40 years to his craft with diligence and pride. Even after retiring, his skills and reputation were so valued that he was called back to work following 9/11, a testament to both his expertise and work ethic.

Ralph found joy in life’s simple pleasures—casting a fishing line, tending to his garden, and taking memorable trips to Montauk. He was known for being a true “handy man,” always ready to fix, build, or lend a helping hand. A lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, he rarely missed a game. At home, he shared a special bond with his beloved cat, Krystal, who never left his side. Above all, Ralph cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cono Russo and Mary Trupiano Russo. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Ann Russo; his brother, Anthony Russo; his children, Ralph Russo, Robert Russo, and Christine Russo, along with their families, including his beloved grandchildren, who will carry forward his love, lessons, and legacy.

Ralph will be remembered for his steady presence, his hardworking spirit, and the quiet but profound love he gave to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
