Richard Buckman

Richard Buckman, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, just days shy of his 70th birthday. He graced this world with his warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born on September 26, 1955, Richard's life was marked by a deep devotion to family and friends. His beloved wife, Doreen Mazzei-Buckman, stood by his side through all of life's seasons. Together, they cultivated a family filled with laughter, support, and unwavering affection. Richard was especially proud of his daughter, Victoria, whose spirit and determination mirrored his own.

Richard's bonds extended beyond his immediate family. He was a loving brother to Carol, who lovingly remembers their shared childhood with her late husband, Jack Bukowski. He also embraced his sister Barbara and honors the memory of her late husband Rich, always holding both of them in his heart. Richard's brother John stood alongside him through many of life's adventures, and the memory of his late brother Allie, along with Allie’s wife Donna, remains a cherished part of the tapestry of his life.

In times of hardship, Richard demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience, always finding comfort in the connections he cherished so deeply. His legacy is not merely found in the memories he leaves behind, but in the lives he touched with his generosity of spirit and unwavering support.

Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Richard's memory at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY. Visitation will be held on September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Prayer Service at 8:00 PM.

Though Richard may no longer walk among us, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family will continue to inspire all who loved him. Richard Buckman will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
