Rinaldo Formato

Rinaldo Formato, a devoted family man and skilled carpenter, passed away on May 5, 2026. Born on August 13, 1953, in Italy, Rinaldo carried with him the warmth and rich heritage of his birthplace throughout his life. He dedicated many years to his trade as a member of Local 157 Carpenter, where he was respected for his craftsmanship and work ethic.

Rinaldo was remembered by all who knew him as kind and caring, a man who deeply cherished his family and held a special place in his heart for his wife, Anna Formato. His love extended not only to those closest to him but also to his beloved Italy, a connection that influenced many aspects of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna, and his children Michael Formato, Joseph Formato and his wife Christina, and Jessica Asaro and her husband Vito. Rinaldo also leaves behind four treasured grandchildren: Christopher, Luke, Valentina, and Vito, who brought immense joy to his life. 

The community will gather to honor Rinaldo’s memory at a Mass scheduled for May 11, 2026, from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, located at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729. This service will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and colleagues to reflect on Rinaldo’s life, celebrate his many contributions, and offer their respects to a man who touched so many lives with his gentle spirit and steadfast dedication.

Rinaldo Formato’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and dedication—to his craft, to his family, and to the community he called home. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he enriched.
