Rita Ann Aprigliano was born on January 17, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York to Costantino and Rachel Brunetti. Rita passed away at 96 years old on December 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Rita was known for her fierce love for her family.
Rita was a proud mother to her children: Eloise Ruiz (Ernest), Janine Weaver (Bill), Nicholas Aprigliano (Margarite) and Rochelle Aprigliano. She delighted in her role as a grandmother to ten grandchildren and a great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. The bond she shared with her family was profound, and she found immense joy in nurturing and supporting each one of them throughout their journeys in life. Rita also leaves behind one sister, whom she loved and adored. Among other interests, Rita was an avid reader and loved tending to her garden.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, the Late Nickolas Aprigliano, whose memory she cherished dearly.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Rita at visitation services to be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, New York, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Saint Matthew in Dix Hills, New York, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:45 AM.
Through her kindness and warmth, Rita Ann Aprigliano has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her loved ones, and her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever cherished.
