Obituary

Robert Ulrich, a devoted family man and respected member of the Local 3 Electrical Union for NYC, passed away on April 13, 2026. Born on April 17, 1945, in St. Albans to his parents William and Regina. Robert lived a life marked by kindness and care, values that endeared him deeply to his loved ones and colleagues alike.

At the core of Robert's life was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, Barbara Ulrich (née Kennedy), and their children Robert (Laura) and their children Zachary, Jake, Robert and Rebecca, Sharon (Dennis) and their children Lilly and Delaney, and Greg (Jennifer) and their children Lyla and Ella and his great-granddaughter Riley and his brother William. His kindness and caring nature were evident in his role as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, offering love, support, and guidance.

Robert approached life much like he approached a round of golf: with a steady hand, a quiet focus, and an unwavering optimism that the next hole would be his best one yet. He taught his children that in golf, as in life, it’s not just about the score, but about the people you walk the course with. A dedicated, if occasionally frustrated golfer, he spent years chasing the elusive hole-in-one.

As per his wishes there will be an immediate family only viewing to honor Robert’s memory and celebrate the life he lived with such heartfelt dedication. At this time the family is considering a “celebration of life” at a later date which is TBD.

Robert Ulrich’s legacy is one of kindness, commitment, and love. He will be profoundly missed by his wife Barbara, his children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and his brother and all who had the privilege to know him. His memory will endure in the hearts of those he touched, a lasting reminder of a well-lived life.
