Robert R. Wallace, a beloved member of his family and community, passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 67 in Rockville Centre, NY. Born on October 27, 1958, in Queens, NY, Robert's warmth, kindness, and spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Robert dedicated his professional life as a portfolio manager for Flagstar Bank, where he applied his intelligence and dedication to help others achieve their financial goals. His educational journey culminated in a Masters degree, a testament to his commitment to lifelong learning.
Known for his protective nature, strength, and caring demeanor, Robert was not only a hardworking professional but also a pillar of support for his family and friends. He was a kind and encouraging presence, always there to uplift those around him. A devoted sports fan, he passionately followed the Giants, Rangers, and Yankees, often sharing in the joy and camaraderie of game days with enthusiasm.
Robert had an affectionate bond with animals, cherishing memories of Scruffy, his childhood dog. His love extended to his "granddog," Tucker, and Peanut, his "grand-guinea pig," reflecting his gentle spirit and the joy he found in his furry companions.
He is survived by his devoted spouse, JoAnn Wallace, and their four daughters: Kristen (Damien) Wallace, Jenna (Nick) Wallace, Justine Wallace, and Amanda Wallace. The joy of being a grandfather was evident in his relationship with his granddaughter, Gianna Gillespie. He also leaves behind siblings Jeanne, Carol, Diane, Maureen, and John, along with his beloved parents, Robert and Joan Wallace, who nurtured his values and character.
Robert touched many lives throughout his journey, and his legacy will endure in the stories, laughter, and memories shared by all who loved him. A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on November 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729.
