Ronald Michael Yuhas, a dedicated and beloved member of his family and community, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, in Coram, NY, at the age of 83. Born on August 10, 1942, in the Bronx, NY, to Michael and Rose Yuhas, Ronald now reunites in peace with his dear parents and his beloved wife, Claire, who recently passed before him. His memory, alongside those he cherished, remains forever honored in the lives and legacy he leaves behind.
Family was at the heart of Ronald’s life. He is survived by his loving children: Ronald J. Yuhas, Donna Marie McGrane and her husband Kevin, and Guy Michael Yuhas and his wife Leslie. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Angelia, Guy, Gionna, Michael, Mariah, Jenna, and Kayla; and his adored great-grandchildren: Ayva, Sofia, Niko, and Ella.
Ronald shared a special bond with his sister, Joanne Rigores, who deeply valued their relationship. Joanne, along with her devoted husband Ronald Rigores, raised two children—Ronald and Nicole—both of whom held a special place in Ronald’s heart. Nicole and her husband Steve gave Ronald an additional source of joy through their son, Jake, Ronald’s great-nephew.
Ronald’s professional journey led him to an esteemed career in telecommunications services, where he worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY. His contributions to the field were significant, and he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike throughout his career.
A visitation honoring Ronald will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island in Middle Island, NY, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Friends, family, and all whose lives Ronald touched are welcome to come together to celebrate his life and legacy. Ronald will be laid to rest the following day, Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Pinelawn Memorial Park in East Farmingdale, NY.
