Sandro Vinella

Sandro (Sandy) G. Vinella of Dix Hills passed away on Thursday, November 6th, 2025. He was 88. Sandro is survived by his loving children Steven Z. Vinella (Nancy), Andrew M. Vinella (Jennifer) and Karen A. Vinella (Joel Fletcher). He will be forever cherished and remembered by his seven grandchildren Megan, Rachel, Hannah, Alex, Emma, Rebecca and Joshua; his siblings Angela and Tony; and his nieces and nephews Anthony, Christine, Michelle, Greg, Chris and Tony.

Born in Manhattan’s Little Italy, NY, in 1936 to his parents Gregory and Anna, Sandy worked diligently throughout his academic career and attended Baruch College, where he graduated with a degree in business. Following graduation, he began his career as an auditor and forensic accountant before joining American Express, where he spent more than 30 years. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the company’s ranks before retiring from American Express with great pride in his accomplishments.

He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to his family, his wisdom and insight, and his generosity. Sandy was preceded in death by his brother Raymond and his loving wife of 58 years Aviva in 2019.
