Scot P. Hansen, a beloved Group Ministry supervisor for Tuscarora Inn and Conference Center, passed away on October 8, 2023, in Mount Bethel, PA. He was born on January 8, 1972, in Huntington, NY. Scot is survived by his father Olav Hansen, mother Virginia, sister Kristi (Timothy) Rogers, and brother Kevin (Jeanette) Hansen. He is predeceased by his brother, Dean (Regina) Hansen.
Scot was a dedicated individual who led an impactful career in group ministry. Scot had an innate ability to connect with people and make them feel heard and understood. His compassionate nature created an atmosphere of warmth and support within the organization.
With a Bachelor's degree in hand, Scot embarked on his professional journey with enthusiasm and a deep sense of purpose. Over the years, he honed his skills as a leader, mentor, and friend to those around him. Scot's dedication to his work was evident in his commitment to creating meaningful experiences for others.
Outside of work, Scot cherished the company of his family and friends. His brother Dean Regina held a special place in his heart. Their bond exemplified the strength of their connection as siblings and confidants.
Despite the profound loss felt by Scot's passing, we find solace in celebrating the life he lived and the memories he left behind. His kindness and empathy inspired many, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
A visitation event will be held in Scot's honor on October 14, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E Main St in Riverhead, NY (11901). This will be an opportunity for family members, friends, colleagues, and loved ones to gather together as they pay their respects.
