Simone Alfred Martoscia, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away on September 7, 2025, in Riverhead, NY. He was born on February 1, 1937, and lived a life of dedication to his family and community.
Simone was a proud graduate of high school and honed his skills as a union plumber, a profession that allowed him to contribute to the well-being of his community and provide for his family. His commitment to hard work and integrity made him a respected figure among his peers. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Simone served honorably in the Army, showcasing his patriotism and dedication to his country. This period of service was a testament to his character and the values he instilled in his family.
Simone is survived by his loving children: Gina M. Sahin, Leonard Martoscia, and John Martoscia. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, Alex Martoscia, Thomas Martoscia, and James Sahin, as well as his great-grandchild, Jolyne Sahin, who brought immense joy to his later years. He is also survived by his devoted sisters, Gloria (Evan) Mincelli, Lily Tizzano, and Jean Insana. Simone was preceded in death by his beloved wife, the late Jennie Martoscia, whose memory he held close throughout his life. He was also preceded by his parents, Leonardo and Margarita Martoscia, as well as his brothers, Leonard and Philip Martoscia, and his sister, Anne Arnedos. Their spirits, too, will live on in the memories of those who survived him.
