Sonya Palmeri

Sonya Palmeri passed away on October 4th, 2021, at Good Samaritan hospital in West Islip, New York at the age of 81.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Palmeri who predeceased her on November 16, 2019.

Sonya is survived by three sons, James and his wife Tammi Palmeri of Deer Park and their children Jimmy and Lindsay, Thomas and his wife Karen Palmeri of Brookline, NH and their children Alex and Jason, and Robert Palmeri of Deer Park. She is also survived by her two sisters, Charlotte Cognato and Rita Isaac of Deer Park.

Sonya was a dear loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook, bake, and entertain, especially for all the holidays. She was the core to keeping the Palmeri family happy, fed and together. Everyone was always welcome at the Palmeri's as it was the hub of all things happening.

Sonya was an avid movie fan of the classics as well as current, from "Guys and Dolls", "Back to the Future to "John Wick" she loved them all.

She will be truly missed and never forgotten.
