Deer Park, New York

Stacey Kim Thompson, a beloved N.Y.P.D. Queens Narcotics Detective, passed away on November 5, 2025, leaving a profound impact on her family, friends, and colleagues. Born on August 14, 1970, in Plainview, New York to her parents Dominick and Sandra. Stacey embodied strength, compassion, and dedication throughout her life and career, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Her unwavering commitment to service defined her professional life. As a detective, Stacey tackled the complexities of her role with skill and determination, always striving to make her community a safer place. Her presence in the force was not only felt in her unwavering commitment but also in her kindness, which resonated deeply with those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Stacey was much more than her career; she was a loving wife to Daniel Thompson and a devoted mother to their daughter, Brianna Thompson. The love they shared was palpable, and her nurturing spirit extended through her relationships with family members. She cherished her time spent with her mother-in-law, Jean Thompson, and her significant other Joe LePage, as well as her brothers-in-law, Joseph and his wife Paula Thompson, Steven and his wife Andrianna Thompson, and Michael and his wife Addie Thompson. Each of these relationships illuminated the joy and laughter Stacey brought into their lives.

A true dog lover, Stacey cherished her beloved companion, Delilah, and adored her grand-dog, Lunden. Whether it was a moment of play or a comforting cuddle, her bond with them was a reflection of her caring nature. She had a penchant for the simple pleasures in life, often expressing her enthusiasm for Dunkin' Donuts and savoring the captivating narratives of "The Sopranos." These small joys painted her world with warmth and happiness and were cherished topics of conversation among family and friends.

In her passing, Stacey leaves behind not just memories, but lessons in love and friendship. Those who knew her remember her not only for the roles she played as a detective and a family member but for the loving and spirited person she was at her core.
