Virginia S. Kobarg

Virginia S. Kobarg, a beloved matriarch, passed away on December 28, 2025 with her family at her side. Born on December 3, 1948, in Queens, New York, Virginia’s journey through life was marked by both achievement and a deep commitment to her family and community.

Virginia enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Secretary at Suffolk Community College. Her dedication to her career was evident in the care and attention she provided to the details of her work and those she worked closely with.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her daughters, Nancy (Jason) Winters, Kerri (Michael) Engblom, and Amy Kobarg, along with her son, Dennis (Jennifer) Kobarg. Virginia was also a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren, Jonathan Winters (Rebekah), Tyler Winters (En Qi), as well as Veronica Chaves, who filled her life with joy and love.

Visitation services for Virginia will be held on January 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY.
