Vito "Buddy" Ricciardi, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, has passed away at the age of 91. Born on July 1, 1932, in Brooklyn to loving parents James and Josephine Ricciardi, Vito led a remarkable and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many. He leaves behind a legacy as a successful salon owner of several different locations and a devoted family man.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Vito was also an incredible husband, father, and grandfather. He shared his life with his loving wife Loretta, whom he cherished deeply. Their bond was built on love, trust, and a shared passion for bringing joy to others. Together they raised two wonderful children - Lorraine (Jeffrey) Lunt, and Victor Ricciardi. Vito's role as a father went beyond providing for his children; he instilled in them the values of hard work, kindness, and compassion that have served them well throughout their lives. Vito took great pride in being a doting grandfather to his three grandchildren - Jaymie, Kristin, and Julianna. He showered them with love and attention, creating cherished memories through sharing his love of singing with them, stories around the dinner table, and heartfelt words of wisdom. Vito's grandchildren were truly the light of his life; their laughter brought him immense joy.
Vito was a devoted member of the Saint Anthony of Padua folk group where he was known for his talented vocals. In addition to being a pillar of the community through his flourishing business and strong familial bonds, Vito Ricciardi was a proud veteran of the Army. His military service reflected his selflessness and love for his country. Vito's commitment to serving something greater than himself was present in everything he did, whether it was while stationed overseas, singing in church or with clients in the salon.
