Wieslawa Matlak, a respected member of the community and a devoted family matriarch, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on January 16, 1942, in Poland to her parents Edward and Stanislawa. Wieslawa's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness and care for those around her.
For many years, Wieslawa dedicated herself to her career in office maintenance in New York, NY, where her attention to detail and work ethic earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
Those who knew Wieslawa appreciated her warm personality and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her kindness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
Wieslawa is survived by her loving daughter, Margaret, and son-in-law, Richard Valdes; her cherished granddaughter, Victoria Valdes; and her beloved grandson, Luke Valdes. They will forever hold her memory close to their hearts, cherishing the values of love and compassion she imparted to them.
Wieslawa was predeceased by her husband, the Late Jan Matlak, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.
A visitation to honor Wieslawa's life and legacy will be held on October 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729.
Wieslawa Matlak will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
