William D. Wachtel

William D. Wachtel passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on January 18, 1948 in Great Neck, New York to his parents Barney and Hilda Wachtel.

William built his career as a self-employed president and insurance broker, a role that reflected his independence, dedication, and commitment to his work. 

He is survived by his sons, David Wachter and Blake Wachter, who carry forward his memory. He is also remembered by Lori Wachter, his former wife, whose place in his life remains part of his story. Those who knew William will hold on to the memories they shared with him and the lasting impression he made through the years.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and again from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Mangano Family Funeral Home, 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. A prayer service will be held that evening from 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
